About DTU Symbion Innovation
DTU Symbion Innovation invests in new, research-based companies within the Capital region of Denmark. We invest in companies distinguished by the fact that they are based on ideas, are protected by patents or other safe guards, and that they are founded in technology possessing distinctive market potential.
Together with other substantial investors, DTU Symbion Innovation heads SEED Capital Denmark. SEED Captial invests in innovative, high technological, research and knowledge based ideas which are on the cutting edge of the technological and market development.
SEED Capital is today the largest venture fund in Denmark within the pre-seed and seed segment.
For us an investment is the beginning of a partnership where the aim is to transfer knowledge into growth. Therefore, we finance and give advice to ambitious entrepreneurs who are engaged in creating successful and internationally oriented companies.
SEED Capital administers both venture capital and governmental funds. The fund distinguishes itself from traditional venture funds by being able to invest both at the very early stage of the start-up companies, and at the later stages by continuous capital contribution. The fund's holds approx. DKK 530 million for new investments.
We are a team of experienced managers, we are in a unique position to assist entrepreneurs with value-generating activities such as management development, strategy development, marketing and ad hoc operational, financial and legal assistance etc. We are reliable partners for scientists who wish to commercialize knowledge and for growth-oriented entrepreneurs.
